Prevention methods for drill pipe breakage in a well drilling rig

I. Methods for preventing drill rod breakage:
1. 3. Strengthen the maintenance and inspection of the reverse circulation drilling rig drill rods. When idle, the drill rods should be treated with anti-corrosion treatment, and anti-rust oil should be applied to the screw threads and protective threads should be added to prevent rust. When the reverse circulation drilling rig is used, strict operating procedures should be formulated and strictly implemented, and relevant knowledge training should be provided to drilling workers.
When using a reverse circulation drilling rig, it is worth noting that drill rod breakage accidents can also occur during pressure reduction drilling. This situation generally has two signs.
One is that the broken part occurs at the neutral point. In this case, the drill bit of the reverse circulation drilling rig often shows an upward jump phenomenon, and the vertical shaft and drill rod usually rise at the same time, and the bottom hole pressure indicator will show a pressure drop.
The other is that the broken part of the reverse circulation drilling rig drill rod occurs below the neutral point. In this case, the drill rod will suddenly drop, while the bottom hole pressure indicator will show an increase in pressure.
