At the opening ceremony of the first National Vocational Skills Competition, President Xi sent a congratulatory message, stating: "We must vigorously promote the spirit of model workers, the spirit of labor, and the spirit of craftsmanship, and encourage more workers, especially the younger generation, to embark on the path of achieving success and serving the country through skills." What is the spirit of craftsmanship? It means relying on superb skills and craftsmanship, upholding a meticulous and dedicated attitude, and striving for excellence in work with perseverance and refinement.

 

 

Yu Saiyuan, an electrical engineer at Hunan Chuangyuan, vividly interprets the spirit of craftsmanship in the new era, showcasing the spirit of frontline workers at Hunan Chuangyuan. On September 6, 2021, Comrade Yu Saiyuan represented Hunan Chuangyuan in the first Ningxiang City Vocational Skills Competition and the 2021 Ningxiang City "Ten Outstanding Professionals, Hundred Excellent Craftsmen" Skills Competition, winning a top 10 place in the electrical repair worker group. He was then selected to represent Ningxiang in the Changsha City 2021 "Ten Outstanding Professionals, Hundred Excellent Craftsmen" employee vocational skills competition, again achieving a top 10 place in the electrical repair worker group.

 

 

How does one become an excellent electrical engineer? When sharing his experience, the two words Yu Saiyuan mentioned most were "dedication". In his view, whether it's praise from clients or recognition from awards, it's because he always approaches his work with dedication, maintaining a sense of awe and curiosity.

 

 

In work, maintaining a sense of awe and curiosity, practicing basic skills diligently, leads to proficiency; when encountering problems, don't rush, don't be afraid of difficulties or retreat, consult more materials, communicate more with clients, find the root cause, and solve the problem. Maintaining a sense of awe helps one understand the principle of lifelong learning; maintaining curiosity fosters a strong desire to learn, constantly absorbing new knowledge in work and life, constantly enriching oneself. Only with utmost dedication can one cultivate a craftsman's heart.

 

 

In addition to dedication, Yu Saiyuan believes that to become an excellent electrical engineer, one must be meticulous and careful. When encountering problems at work, don't rush to solve them; if you find your method is wrong and have to redo the work, it will lead to low efficiency; before starting, you must carefully check and confirm to better improve work efficiency and solve problems.
