How does the base-free anchoring actually secure the rig?
It uses heavy-duty double-acting telescopic hydraulic anchoring cylinders. The cylinders brace the machine frame firmly against the ceiling and floor rock faces. Combined with rock anchoring tension bolts drilled directly into the drift walls, it provides a highly stable platform that easily absorbs the counter-torque and pullback forces of reaming up to Φ1.5m shafts.
Can these raise borers fit in a standard 2.5m x 2.5m shaft cage?
Yes! Chuangyuan rigs are designed from the ground up for modular disassembly. No individual component exceeds the cage lifting limit, and all modules are sized to slide easily through standard drift gates and narrow cage openings.
What rock hardness can the drill bits handle?
Our standard alloy cutter assemblies are rated for F8 to F12 rock hardness. For premium requirements, we offer diamond-enhanced carbide cutters capable of drilling F16+ rock (such as highly compact quartzite and iron ore) with minimal wear rates.
