Forge ahead with innovation and strive for excellence! Hunan Chuangyuan wins the second prize of the 2023 National Science and Technology Progress Award

National Science and Technology Conference, National Science and Technology Awards Conference, and Conference of Academicians of the Two Academies 24 were held in Beijing on the morning of the day. President Xi Jinping presented awards to the winners of the National Supreme Science and Technology Award and delivered an important speech.

Hunan Chuangyuan High-tech Machinery Co., Ltd., as one of the main completing units of " Key Technologies and Equipment for Intelligent Mining of Underground Metal Mines ” project won 2023 the second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award this year.

 

This project, facing major national needs and focusing on the interdisciplinary frontiers of world mining technology, addresses the scientific problems and technical challenges in deep mining of underground metal mines. Relying on national key research and development projects, etc., after years of continuous research, it has broken through key core technologies such as intelligent continuous mining of multiple mining areas, intelligent mining equipment and its intelligent control system, high-precision positioning and navigation of trackless equipment, ubiquitous information acquisition and high-bandwidth high-reliable wireless communication and data transmission, multi-equipment cluster control, and integrated control and real-time scheduling of intelligent mining production and operation. Five innovative achievements have been made: intelligent equipment, precise positioning, real-time scheduling, high-speed communication, and continuous mining. A complete set of technologies, equipment, and control systems for large-scale intelligent mining of underground metal mines with independent intellectual property rights has been formed.

This project has established a theoretical and technical system for intelligent mining of underground metal mines in China, solving " bottleneck ” technical problems from abroad, and realizing the import substitution of technology and equipment. The project results have been widely used in many leading domestic enterprises such as China Minmetals Group, China Power Construction Group, Zijin Mining Group, Chalco, Shandong Gold Group, Jiuquan Iron and Steel Group, and Ansteel Group, and have been exported to many countries overseas. It has significantly reduced the number of on-site workers in underground production, improved mining efficiency and labor productivity, helped customers accelerate efficiency and increase value, achieved significant economic, social, and environmental benefits, and provided technical support and safety guarantees for the green, low-carbon, intelligent, safe, efficient, and sustainable development of China's deep mineral resources.

 

This award of the second-class National Science and Technology Progress Award is a high recognition and full affirmation of Hunan Chuangyuan's scientific research and innovation capabilities. In the future, we will continue to increase investment in scientific research, focusing on the field of intelligent equipment and system solutions for smart mines, empowering the new generation of mining industry with technology, and contributing " Chuangyuan ” strength.
