Good News | Hunan Chuangyuan's Participating Project Receives Funding from Hunan Provincial Key Research and Development Plan

Recently, the Hunan Provincial Department of Science and Technology released the "Notice on the Approval of the Hunan Provincial Key Research and Development Plan Projects for the Year." 2023 Hunan Chuangyuan and Central South University jointly submitted the "Automatic Operation System for Rock Drilling Machines Based on Big Data Technology," which was approved for the project.

The Hunan Provincial Key Research and Development Plan projects focus on the technological needs of key areas such as industrial development and public welfare, taking prominent problems and applications as the orientation. They address technological issues that hinder industrial innovation, improvement of people's livelihood, and social progress. These projects conduct cutting-edge, leading, and key generic technological research, engineering research and application demonstrations, and major applied basic research.

Currently, in the process of underground mining in China, rock drilling operations generally suffer from low intelligence, high safety risks, high labor intensity, high loss of ore impoverishment, low production capacity of mining sites, and high comprehensive operation costs. To help mining enterprises reduce safety risks and improve construction efficiency, Central South University, in conjunction with Hunan Chuangyuan and other units, has carried out research on the design of intelligent rock drilling equipment and its key technologies, aiming for safety, efficiency, economy, and environmental protection.

This project will optimize the underground mining production process through research on core technologies for intelligent underground mining rock drilling, including 3D remote visual control technology, rock layer identification technology, and precise hole positioning and robotic arm control technology. This will improve China's mineral resource development capabilities, significantly enhance mining production safety, reduce industry risks, break through foreign technology monopolies, and form intelligent rock drilling technologies and equipment with independent intellectual property rights, promoting China's development from a mining power to a strong mining nation.

  This selection is a full affirmation of Hunan Chuangyuan by government departments and the industry market. In the future, Hunan Chuangyuan will rely on its own technological advantages, follow national industrial policies, adhere to independent research and development, provide safe, efficient, and economical intelligent mining equipment for mining enterprises, and actively promote the mechanization and intelligent mining of China's mines.
