Safe, intelligent, and efficient! Hunan Chuangyuan successfully won the bid for the Ankai Mining electric shovel automation transformation project

Recently, Hunan Chuangyuan High-tech Machinery Co., Ltd. ("Hunan Chuangyuan"), with its outstanding technical strength and rich practical experience, has successfully won the bid for the automated transformation project of electric shovel loaders for Anhui Kai Fa Mining Co., Ltd. ("Ankai Mining").

Project Background:

Shovel loaders are the main equipment for transportation in small and medium-sized mines. However, ordinary electric shovel loaders require drivers to work continuously in harsh underground environments, facing high-risk accidents such as caving, roof falls, and goaf collapses. Remote-controlled electric shovel loaders improve safety to a certain extent, but due to the lack of intuitive on-site experience, work efficiency is low, and accidents are easily caused by fatigue and misoperation.

Project Overview:

This electric shovel loader transformation project is an important measure for Ankai Mining to deepen the construction of intelligent mines and promote the safe development of mines under the guidance of "Opinions of the General Office of the CPC Central Committee and the General Office of the State Council on Further Strengthening Mine Safety Production". The project aims to achieve remote control and autonomous driving functions of shovel loaders through the upgrading and transformation of unmanned driving systems; to achieve human-machine separation through remote control, transferring personnel from dangerous and harsh underground environments to safe and comfortable remote control centers; and to achieve remote unmanned operation of the entire loading, transportation, and unloading process through the development of autonomous driving technology, freeing the hands of operators, reducing reliance on operating experience, and improving the intelligent level of mines.

Hunan Chuangyuan is a mine overall solution provider integrating mining technology, intelligent equipment, and a central control platform to achieve autonomous operation of intelligent equipment, with strong scientific research capabilities. The company's subsidiary, Chuangyuan Intelligent, focuses on the research and development of technical products needed for the construction of domestic unmanned mine complete intelligent systems and complete intelligent equipment, and possesses a series of intelligent mine systems such as visual distance remote wireless remote control systems, autonomous drilling rig operation systems, mine vehicle autonomous driving systems, and electric locomotive autonomous driving systems. Hunan Chuangyuan's independently developed underground shovel loader intelligent driving system (MIDS) has innovatively broken through and developed high-precision map navigation technology for 3D lidar, precise robust tracking control technology for articulated chassis, environmental perception and detection technology, and underground roadway path planning and learning technology, breaking through the bottleneck of underground autonomous driving technology. It has the advantages of precise navigation, smooth control, high robustness, strong site adaptability, rapid deployment, and high reliability. Currently, it has achieved stable and normalized operation of intelligent shovel loader driving in Shanxi Zijin, completing autonomous positioning and navigation, autonomous walking, autonomous unloading, autonomous operation statistics, and remote control loading. It realizes naked-eye 3D and dynamic cockpit functions, providing remote drivers with an immersive driving experience, improving the efficiency of remote control loading and avoiding operational risks. The unmanned driving mode has a maximum speed of 12 km/h.
