Recently, all personnel in the electromechanical maintenance group of the Pinggui Feidie Guihuacheng Company's operation workshop have been busy with the task of transporting a large iron object -the "CY-R80C shaft drilling rig"- into the -55 section for assembly. Lowering it from the ground elevation of 234 meters to the -55 section underground, a vertical difference of 289 meters, the large volume and 11-ton weight of the drilling rig made transportation and assembly extremely challenging. This posed a significant test for the electromechanical maintenance group of the operation workshop and the sub-shaft and sub-incline hoisting system teams; before the arrival of the drilling rig, the operation workshop had planned this work, communicating with the manufacturer to disassemble the rig into more than ten parts, including the mobile pump station, main unit, and tracks, and then transporting them piece by piece via the sub-shaft and sub-incline to the -55 section safely.

"With concerted effort, even Mount Tai can be moved." Before the start of the transportation work, the person in charge of the operation workshop organized a pre-shift meeting attended by technicians, electromechanical maintenance workers, and other relevant personnel, clearly dividing the work, after which everyone got busy. Electromechanical maintenance workers, under the guidance of the manufacturer's technicians, loaded and secured the drilling rig, then transported it via the sub-shaft and sub-incline to the -55 section; in the -55 section underground, facing this huge object, the electromechanical maintenance team, with the help of personnel from the mining and excavation area, moved it inch by inch, step by step. After two days and four shifts of hard work, they finally managed to move the disassembled drilling rig to its designated assembly location. During the preparation for assembly, a new problem arose - the existing gantry crane's load-bearing capacity was insufficient to lift the 11-ton drilling rig. After thorough discussion among the person in charge, workshop leaders, and the electromechanical maintenance group, it was decided to reinforce and upgrade the gantry crane; without delay, the on-site electromechanical maintenance workers, all skilled operators, some went to fetch the I-beams for the upgrade, some fetched welding equipment, and others fetched scaffolding; everything proceeded in an orderly manner. With everyone's efforts, the gantry crane upgrade was completed in less than half a day. Then, after hoisting, moving, connecting, and debugging, the assembly was completed. Through the joint efforts of the operation workshop and relevant personnel from the mining and excavation area, the entire transportation and assembly task took 6 days and 10 shifts, 4 days ahead of the manufacturer's estimated 10 days. With the roar of the drilling rig's engine, this new generation of digital crawler self-propelled "CY-R80C shaft drilling rig", designed and manufactured according to the special ore veins and geological environment of the coral mine, officially declared its strong entry.
"To do a good job, one must first sharpen one's tools." The "CY-R80C shaft drilling rig" is a new model finally determined by Guihuacheng Company and the supplier after numerous on-site tests and analyses. Guihuacheng Company further demanded higher standards from the supplier regarding equipment performance, quality, and parameters. Compared with traditional reverse drilling rigs, the "CY-R80C shaft drilling rig" boasts higher safety performance, faster operation speed, and higher engineering precision. Traditional drilling rigs are difficult to move, and their heavy bodies often require a large amount of manpower and material resources for disassembly, assembly, and transportation after completion of operations, bringing potential safety hazards. The "CY-R80C shaft drilling rig", however, can achieve chain track movement, offering good passability and flexibility, enabling it to move across different terrains, thus improving work efficiency and safety, and offering significant advantages over traditional drilling rigs. To ensure a smoother introduction and use of the new equipment, before the drilling rig was transported underground, Guihuacheng Company requested the equipment supplier to assign technicians for on-site practical training. The mining and excavation area organized personnel to learn and operate according to the instruction manual, honing their operational skills and accumulating valuable experience through practical work.
The introduction of the "CY-R80C shaft drilling rig" will effectively improve the production process of shaft construction in the middle sections of the coral mine, significantly enhance the reliability of employee safety operations, add new impetus to accelerating the construction progress of various middle sections and improving the quality of safety production, and further promote Guihuacheng Company's compliance management and mechanized upgrade transformation.
